White House with Dungeon

The largest of all Duncan Family Suites, this 4,500 square foot home is located just a short walk away from the Utah Shakespearean Festival.

The White House was built in 1949 by the legendary Ben Cooley for Dr. Blaine Jonson, his wife Loa, and their six children. The Duncans purchased the home in 1976 and also raised their six children here. This beautiful home has provided many memorable occasions times for both the Johnsons and the Duncans, as well as many piano lessons for community members (Loa and Lucinda both are accomplished piano teachers).

The White House with Dungeon downstairs will easily sleep a family or group of 16 to 20. There are 7 bedrooms, 3 kitchens, 3 ½ bathrooms, 2 living rooms/family rooms, a formal dining room plus several other laundry and storage rooms. All are beautifully cared for and furnished with all you need for your visit to Cedar City, the Utah Shakespearean Festival, Utah Summer Games or the surrounding National Parks.

For your enjoyment outside, is a large yard with lots of green space to enjoy outdoor games and activities. Also just outside the back door is a large garden with plenty of fresh vegetables (in season) and a barbeque grill to cook up your favorite outdoor recipe.

For large families and groups, the White House with Dungeon is your perfect vacation home away from home! Sleeps up to 20 people.

Amenities include: central air conditioning, cable TV, DVD player, fully equipped kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, dishwasher, washer and dryer, barbeque grill, fresh garden vegetables (in season) private off-street parking, beautifully landscaped yard, fresh linens and towels provided.
